Lechon Paksiw is a Filipino dish made from leftover roast pig which is known as “Lechon”, and we can also use leftover lechon kawali for this recipe. Making this dish is like recycling leftover pork, instead of just reheating it.

How to cook Lechon Paksiw?

Ingredients:
  • 400g leftover lechon
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 small onion
  • 5 tbsp venigar
  • 1 1/2 cup water
  •  1 cup Mang Tomas
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp ground black pepper
Procedure:
  1. Heat the pan and pour-in the cooking oil.
  2. Saute onion and garlic.
  3. Add in leftover lechon. Cook for 3 minutes.
  4. Add-in Mang Tomas and water. Boil.
  5. Add-in vinegar (don't stir), simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. Add-in soy sauce, pepper and sugar. Stir and simmer for 2 minutes.
  7. Turn off heat. Transfer to a serving bowl, then serve.
  8. Share and happy eating!
